Area Sales Manager (meat industry) - Latin America
As an Area Sales Manager you are a part of the worldwide sales team of functional pork proteins towards the meat processing company. You play a crucial role in the expansion of our customer portfolio and maintaining long-term relationships with our current customers & distributors within Latin America.
Main Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain major relationships and generate new business;
• Responsible for all aspects of allocated prospects, agents and customers;
• Develop detailed product knowledge and in-depth understanding of ingredients for the meat processing industry;
• Responsible for identifying and approaching potential new customers;
• Develop long term customer commitment and relationships with (key account) customers;
• Thinking strategically with the customers and identifying new business opportunities;
• Translating customer demand to the internal VEOS organization;
• Develop and implement an annual sales plan.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience (supplying ingredients to the meat industry would be ideal);
• Successful track record of growing territory and sales as well as of increasing and exceeding revenue;
• Understanding of manufacturing processes;
• Self-starter personality with strong focus on results;
• Presentation and negotiation skills at senior level in English and (native) Spanish;
• Willing to travel;
